Myanmar is a country of producing various kinds of gems such as ruby, sapphire jade and pearl which are famous in the world. The mine producing ruby and sapphire is situated at Mogok Region in Mandalay Division. Mogok region produces not only ruby and sapphire, purple sapphire but also produces other semi—precious stones such as damburite, topaz, onyx and gawmate (zircon). Therefore Mogok region is known as “Gems Land”.

Since 16th July 1992, another new “Gems Land” officially appeared in Maing Shu region. Formally Maing Shu is a small village, now over 300 companies is excavating over 1600 mine-sites to exploit ruby. The high grade features of Maing Slni ruby is that the luster of ruby is in unison and beautiful as well as free from flaw in the gemstones. It is said that 90% of world ruby market is restrained by Maing Shu rubies.

Our Taungyi Gems Master Enterprises Limited Co have applied to exploit gemstones to seek mutual benefit in both two Mine Sites from the government and purchases rubies from the annual gems fairs. Our company founder U Soe Hlaing has been doing gems trading business since 1985 and when the market economy system commenced in Myanmar he expanded to do joint venture to excavate mines to seek for mutual benefit with government.

Our company established on 10th October 1996 to develop the gem industry and gems market in Myanmar. We also have established a factory for cutting and polishing gems. For getting sufficient raw gems stones, we collect gems not only from our own gem mine but also purchase gems from annual gem trade fairs sponsored by Myanmar Gems Enterprise and Myanmar Holding Company we then do assorting and cutting, heating by machine and testing by baking with local and foreign experts.

Our company possesses all facility of processing from raw precious stone stage to finishing touch stage, and then we fix the prices and sell in local markets as well as export to foreign markets such as Thai market in accordance with the economic laws and Myanmar Gemstone law. From Thai market these gemstone products spread out to other countries in the world including China. We also send our staff to local and foreign trading gem fairs such as Hong Kong and Thailand to study and get. The up-dated experience to fulfils our requirement of gaining knowledge and skill. We try to be adequate all round. Basing on these international experience, we lay down the plan to process finished gems and jewelleries products and ornaments. To implement the plan, we open a gem & jewelleries shop at no. 88, in Bogoke Aung San Market, named as “Elegant Art Gems & Jewelleries”.

To satisfy the need and desire of our regular customers we sell our factory products with modern beautiful design and neat and tidy workmanship at cheaper prices. We sell our products not only in local market but also in Thailand market from there spread out to other counties including China.
